After switching from cross-country skiing to biathlon, I can now be part of the Viessmann family. I am ready and looking forward to the journey together!
Career
Antonia’s sporting career began in judo and track and field, and at the age of 11 she makes the switch to cross-country skiing. She improves steadily and starting in the eighth grade attends the sports boarding school in Oberhof to take advantage of better training opportunities. In 2014, Antonia competes for the first time at a junior world championship and goes on to win a bronze and silver medal in the following years. Two years later, she celebrates her first World Cup appearance at the age of just 19. In the following years, she competes more regularly in the World Cup.
Move to the biathlon
In 2021, she competes at home at the World Championships in Oberstdorf in the skiathlon and 10 km freestyle race. The following year Antonia participates in the Winter Olympics in PyeongChang and places in the top 20 in the 30-kilometer mass start race. After the 2021/22 season, Antonia announces her move from cross-country skiing to biathlon.
