Key facts about your apprenticeship:

  • The apprenticeship is a dual study programme, combining on-the-job experience with vocational training, and lasts from two to three and a half years, depending on your chosen field.

  • You’ll benefit from comprehensive guidance from instructors and training officers, and enjoy additional support throughout your apprenticeship – for example, from a mentor in a senior year.

As a facility mechanic specializing in plumbing, heating and air conditioning, you will plan, configure and install building services engineering facilities and systems.

Your training will include:

  • Construction of energy-efficient and environmentally friendly systems

  • Planning, configuration, installation, connection and commissioning of technical supply systems

  • Carrying out maintenance and repairs, and offering customer advice

  • Individual practical phases in selected companies in the heating sector

  • Planning, manufacture and repair of refrigeration and air conditioning systems

  • Installation of electrotechnical and electronic plant components

  • Programming of instrumentation and control engineering

  • Work experience phases in selected companies in the heating sector.
