Viessmann Werke Allendorf GmbH once again among the leaders in idea management
In 2024, Viessmann Werke Allendorf GmbH will continue to be one of the top-performing companies in the DACH region with a strategic ideas management system. This is shown by the current “Idea Management Performance Indicator Comparison”, the most comprehensive benchmark study of its kind with 257 participating companies.

Allendorf (Eder), 5/13/2025 – In 2024, Viessmann Werke Allendorf GmbH is once again one of the top-performing companies in the DACH region with a strategic ideas management system. This is shown by the current “Idea Management Key Performance Indicator Comparison”, the most comprehensive benchmark study of its kind with 257 participating companies from Germany, Austria and Switzerland - including numerous brand manufacturers and hidden champions. As part of Viessmann Climate Solutions, Viessmann Werke Allendorf GmbH belongs to Carrier Global (NYSE: CARR), a leading international provider of intelligent energy and climate solutions.
While almost twice as many companies report a decrease in the number of ideas submitted as an increase, Viessmann Werke Allendorf GmbH is clearly bucking the industry trend - and impresses with exceptionally strong key figures:
- Participation rate: while less than 10% of employees submit suggestions at almost half of the companies (median: 10.4%), the participation rate at Viessmann Werke Allendorf GmbH is an outstanding 54.2% - more than five times the average.
- Idea rate: The median number of ideas submitted per employee (ideas/employee) is just 0.16. Viessmann Werke Allendorf GmbH records 8.39 ideas/employee - an outstanding figure across all sectors.
- Savings rate: The median average savings achieved per employee is €113 per employee. Viessmann Werke Allendorf GmbH achieves a value of € 956 per employee, which is eight times the average.

In addition, Viessmann Werke Allendorf GmbH is once again one of the top-performing groups in the cultural dimension (high commitment and participation) as well as in the overall benefit dimension, which measures the economic benefit from implemented ideas.
“These figures speak for themselves - they show what is possible when thinking along is part of the corporate culture. Employees don't just contribute ideas, they actively drive change - and that's what makes the difference,” says Peter Becker, Head of Ideas Management.
A key success factor that the study also highlights is the commitment of company management: around 40% of the participating companies define specific target values for idea management, and around half receive regular reports. Significantly better results can be observed in these companies - especially when management is actively involved, recognizes successes or reacts to problems.
“A vibrant ideas culture doesn't just happen by itself - it needs clear goals, genuine interest and tangible support from the company management. If we take the commitment of our employees seriously and visibly support them, we create the basis for real innovation and sustainable improvement,” explains Arndt Fingerhut, Managing Director of Viessmann Werke Allendorf GmbH, who was awarded the German Idea Management Award for ‘Best Manager’ in 2020.
