Warning about suspicious content

Recently, there has been an increase in suspicious content, including calls or door-to-door conversations where unknown individuals have claimed to be employees of Viessmann Climate Solutions. We take this issue very seriously and want to prevent people from being harmed by raising awareness.

In addition, we are aware of the website viessmannfehler.de, which is operated using the Viessmann name or brand without authorization. It may create the misleading impression of being connected to Viessmann Climate Solutions or Carrier. This website is neither operated by Viessmann Climate Solutions nor by Carrier and has no connection to either company. We recommend not to visit, share private/financial/sensitive information. We consider reporting the website with the relevant authorities and other necessary steps.

The suspicious content is usually carried out by contacting people by telephone or personally at the door. The aim is to obtain personal data or money. We are currently aware of the following methods:

• The callers imply that you are interested in a Viessmann Climate Solutions solution and want to arrange an on-site consultation appointment or an on-site appointment to conclude a contract – while claiming that sufficient equity is available.
• The callers imply that a Viessmann Climate Solutions solution has already been purchased and request a partial payment in advance so that the system can be installed.
• The person at the door claims to be a Viessmann employee and offers Viessmann climate solutions at particularly low prices that are not in line with market conditions. The aim is to obtain personal data or an advance payment in cash.

Please note the following to protect your data: 

• Check authenticity: Our employees will not ask you for sensitive personal or financial information during an initial conversation.
• Also check the authenticity of emails and websites carefully.
• Check the phone number: Fake phone numbers are often used. Be vigilant, end the call if in doubt and call the phone number back.
• Security measure: Never disclose confidential information over the phone or at the door, especially if you have doubts about the authenticity of the person.
• Do not enter any personal or financial information on suspicious websites either.
