At SHK+E Essen (Hall 3, Booth 3A11), Viessmann Climate Solutions is showcasing a climate house where visitors can experience the interplay of key technologies firsthand. The company is also offering a first look at its next generation of Viessmann heat pumps, which will be launched in the fall of 2026.
Allendorf (Eder)/Essen, Germany, March 17, 2026 – At SHK+E Essen, Viessmann Climate Solutions is showcasing its offerings with clear focus on holistic, integrated energy solutions. The centerpiece of this year’s booth is the Climate House, where visitors can experience firsthand how key technologies work together — from the Stiftung Warentest test-winning Vitocal 250-A heat pump (model AWO-E AC 251.A10 with 10 kW rated output) to photovoltaics and the Vitocharge VX3 energy storage system, all the way to the wallbox and intelligent energy management. Another highlight: For the first time Viessmann Climate Solutions is offering a preview at SHK+E of its next-generation heat pumps, which will be launched in autumn 2026. As a first glimpse of the new generation, is already shown in carmouflage style. Interested visitors can see the new generation of heat pumps for themselves in Hall 3, Booth 3A11.

Climate House: Focusing on the Energy System as a Whole
With the Climate House, Viessmann Climate Solutions is highlighting its integrated system approach at SHK+E Essen. The exhibit demonstrates how heat generation, power generation, storage, electric mobility, and smart energy management work together seamlessly. Both the entire system and individual components can be controlled via an app – for both end users and installer partners.
The focus of the Climate House is on a systemic approach: installer partners and planners gain a practical understanding of how heat pumps, photovoltaic systems, energy storage units, and wallboxes can be integrated via Viessmann One Base into an efficient, future-proof overall system – both in new construction and in modernization projects. With the Viessmann Energy Management, system operators can, for example, easily reduce their electricity costs by utilizing the intelligent optimization provided by the Dynamic Assistant (a paid add-on feature for using dynamic electricity rates). With the ViCare extension, electricity consumption from the grid automatically adjusts to price fluctuations – without any manual effort. Every day, the algorithm identifies the most cost-effective time windows and plans the various operating times while taking the weather forecast into account.
Get a sneak peek at the new generation of Viessmann heat pumps
A particular highlight at the booth is the new generation of heat pumps, which will be launched in September 2026. At SHK+E Essen, the unit will be shown to the German market for the first time as a camouflaged product.
The new generation features a compact design, high performance, and installation flexibility. It is ideally suited for modernization projects. The goal is to make Viessmann technology, premium quality, and intelligent software accessible to the broad audience.

Vitocal 250-A: Modular system design for maximum flexibility
Viessmann Climate Solutions is also presenting the current Stiftung Warentest test winner Vitocal 250-A (model AWO-E AC 251.A10 with a rated output of 10 kW) at SHK+E Essen. An air-to-water heat pump already available on the market that consistently embodies the system approach. The modular design of the new indoor units allows for complete decoupling of the outdoor and indoor units: Each outdoor unit is compatible with every new indoor unit –regardless of output size. This simplifies planning and installation in both new construction and modernization projects.
Optimized connection spaces, a swiveling component box, and a redesigned hydraulic interface significantly reduce setup and installation time. This is complemented by detailed improvements to the outdoor units, including reduced noise emissions and fan coil heaters integrated as standard in the AntiFreeze model. All Vitocal 250-A monoblock heat pumps use the natural refrigerant R290 and come standard with a mechanically operated, patented protection system that functions reliably even during a power outage.
Vitocharge VX3: Energy storage system with integrated energy management
The Vitocharge VX3 energy storage system, which is manufactured entirely in Europe, stands for proven technology and maximum operational reliability. Its modular system architecture with different performance classes allows a tailor-made design, while a comprehensive safety concept ensures reliable operation. Thanks to a new cascade function, the Vitocharge VX3 can now be used in systems with up to five units. This enables a total storage capacity of up to 75 kWh (5 × 15 kWh). This opens up new possibilities for applications with increased energy requirements – such as in large single-family homes and apartment buildings, as well as in smaller commercial properties like craft businesses or supermarkets. Another new feature is the ability to cascade units in the small 4.6 kVA power class, which offers additional flexibility in system planning.
