Vitocharge VX3 and Vitocal 250-A PRO win the haustec.de readers' choice 2025

Allendorf (Eder), Deutschland, 06.06.2025 – This year, the HVAC industry portal haustec.de selected “The Best Product of the Year 2025” in a total of eight categories. Among the 30 entries from 26 different brands, the solutions from Viessmann Climate Solutions achieved a double victory. The winners of the day were the Vitocharge VX3 storage cylinder and the heat pump for (light) commercial operation, the Vitocal 250-A PRO. haustec.de organized the big reader poll for the eighth time. The online portal belongs to the “Gentner-Verlag”, one of the largest German publishers for the HVAC industry in Germany.

The winners of each category were celebrated during a virtual award show. Dr. Conrad Wiedeler, Sales Manager Germany at Viessmann Deutschland GmbH, was delighted to receive the double: “These awards mean a lot to us. The fact that they are based on direct voting by readers is fantastic feedback. This shows us that our product developments meet the requirements of the market and are appreciated in practice by the installers.”

The award-winning solutions at a glance

The Vitocharge VX3 energy storage system is now also available in a cascade application with up to five appliances. The resulting high storage capacity of 75 kWh (5 x 15 kWh) is aimed in particular at applications with higher energy requirements - such as large residential and multifamily homes, as well as smaller commercial applications such as supermarkets or craft businesses. For investors in the housing industry, the Vitocharge VX3 cascade is an attractive renewable energy system for tenant electricity models. Residents benefit from a high degree of self-sufficiency thanks to self-generated electricity from the photovoltaic system. This can be scaled up to an output of 40 kVA and a capacity of up to 75 kWh. Another benefit are the flexible installation options. The components can be installed wall-hanging or floor-standing (optional floor bracket). Flexible installation is now also possible in low rooms such as basements or utility rooms. Around corners or horizontally - so that it is possible to react quickly to the conditions on site. It only takes a few clicks in the ViGuide mobile app for guided commissioning.

The Vitocal 250-A PRO heat pump is an innovative solution for heating, cooling and domestic hot water preparation for larger residential and (light) commercial. With its soundproofed outdoor unit, the heat pump quietly and efficiently uses the outside air as a heat source. The infinitely variable output adjustment enables a tailor-made heating and cooling strategy that can be adapted to the individual requirements of each property. The Vitocal 250-A PRO impresses with a heating output of up to 39.5 kW and even offers up to 79 kW when cascaded. An outstanding feature is the patented safety concept, which does not require the use of glycol or separating systems. This, together with the simple installation of the outdoor units in series, represents a significant advantage over conventional appliances on the market and ensures high system efficiency. Certification in accordance with the Household Appliances Directive (EN 60335-2-40) enables flexible outdoor installation without fencing. This means that no additional electrical work is required and no measures need to be taken in accordance with the Machine Room Directive. In addition, the hydraulic unit can be installed either inside or outside the building, which makes planning and installation considerably easier.
