Regional supplier badenova and manufacturer Viessmann Climate Solutions cooperate

Making the energy transition from home – The regional energy supplier badenova and the energy technology manufacturer Viessmann Climate Solutions (VCS) will cooperate in the future to drive forward the energy transition from home. The partnership will focus on converting heating technology to heat pumps and PV/electricity storage in the private sector.

Heat pumps are already standard in many new buildings. An old heating system can also be replaced by a heat pump in existing buildings.

Freiburg/Allendorf (Eder), April 22, 2024 – The regional energy supplier badenova and the energy technology manufacturer Viessmann Climate Solutions (VCS) will cooperate in the future to drive forward the energy transition from home. The partnership will focus on converting heating technology to heat pumps and PV/electricity storage in the private sector. An important component of the cooperation is the involvement of regional tradespeople.

Hans-Martin Hellebrand, CEO of badenova: "This strategically important partnership is a milestone - from which we will jointly develop innovative solutions for our customers to shape the energy transition in their own homes.

As an energy and infrastructure expert, badenova analyzes the customer's building situation in order to find the optimal individual solution. Viessmann supplies first-class hardware in the form of heat pumps and takes care of individual financing and subsidies. An all-round carefree package to bring the energy and heating transition to every private household in an affordable way."

Dr. Frank Voßloh, Managing Director of Viessmann Germany, adds: "The heating transition in Germany is a challenge of the century and also an opportunity. In the future, heat pumps will be the main source of heat supply for buildings, which in the medium to long term will result in a more cost-effective and sustainable supply than fossil fuels, which will gradually become more expensive due to rising CO² taxes. We are therefore delighted to have a strong regional partner at our side in badenova, so that customers can make the heating transition from home. Together with regional tradespeople, we can implement this for us today and, above all, for future generations."

The offer from badenova and Viessmann

In order to bring the energy transition into people's own homes, a precise analysis of the individual living situation is required. The age and type of heating system, the prospective availability of district heating and the energy status of the house are just some of the factors that are considered. A coherent and individual energy concept is developed together with the customer. If a heat pump is chosen, the joint offer from Viessmann Climate Solutions and badenova comes into play. badenova then commissions and manages the regional tradesmen to carry out the work, in which the climate solutions from VCS are then used. Both partners are thus underlining their approach of working closely with regional tradespeople to shape the energy and heating transition.

A complete package that guarantees real peace of mind: With badenova partner Viessmann Climate Solutions, customers are opting for a modern and efficient heating solution. Customers benefit from comprehensive service and an unlimited guarantee for a period of up to 15 years by leasing the heat pump. The scope of services includes regular maintenance, the provision of spare parts, repairs and an emergency hotline that is available around the clock.

If the system is eligible for a subsidy, VCS will work with badenova to apply for the relevant funding. The only obligation is to pay a predictable monthly fee (rent) - badenova and Viessmann Climate Solutions take care of the rest.

Systems for new and existing buildings

Cutting-edge technology for all applications: Viessmann Climate Solutions' climate solutions include heat pumps for all heat sources, biomass boilers and solar thermal energy, as well as electricity-generating heating systems, hot water systems and domestic ventilation systems.

This provides the user with everything from a single source: efficient energy systems for generating their own electricity, storing it and using it intelligently for heating, cooling and ventilation. The electrical systems can also be combined with existing heat generators. They can be used in a variety of ways in modernization and new builds. These systems make use of the entire range of renewable energy sources available today - whether solar, wind, geothermal, electricity or biomass - and we are already thinking ahead. Our air conditioning solutions are already certified for the use of green hydrogen, for example. This brings us one step closer to the goal we are pursuing with our climate solutions - namely to create living spaces for this and future generations.
