Impressive news in Munich: 19 new arrivals for the Allianz Arena!

In their latest joint video, Viessmann Climate Solutions and FC Bayern are using the transfer hype to emotionally and entertaining convey the relevance of sustainability and energy efficiency.

The 19 new “stars” who joined the team turned out to be Viessmann heat pumps, which was a relief for top players such as Dayot Upamecano, Manuel Neuer, and Joshua Kimmich.

Allendorf (Eder)/Munich, Germany, Oct. 7, 2025 – The soccer world is upside down: After the German record champion FC Bayern Munich announced that 19 (!) new stars would be joining the team, transfer rumors began to swirl. Fans everywhere discussed what the club's announcement might look like in practice. Now, finally, the mystery has been revealed—and it turns out that the new signings are part of a very special mission for the club.

As focused as FC Bayern is on sporting success, as consistent a commitment to sustainability is to those responsible at the club's headquarters at Säbener Straße. As part of this commitment, 19 highly innovative Viessmann heat pumps – all of them real “top performers” – are being installed in the Allianz Arena to further improve the stadium's energy efficiency and minimize CO₂ emissions. A true story that brings a smile to the faces of the record champions' fans and others.

Climate protection turns into a headline

In close cooperation with FC Bayern, Viessmann Climate Solutions, part of Carrier Corporation (NYSE: CARR), global leader in intelligent climate and energy solutions, has used the emotional hype surrounding the transfer market to address an important but often complex issue: sustainability and energy efficiency. Climate protection is undoubtedly one of the greatest challenges of our time, and FC Bayern Munich has set itself the task of playing a pioneering role not only on the soccer field, but also in the area of sustainability.

The campaign, created and produced by Hamburg-based creative studio 27km, extends this core message with a humorous advertising spot. In it, the renowned Bayern stars demonstrate their acting talent by reacting self-deprecatingly to the confusion surrounding their “new colleagues.”

New high performer for the Allianz Arena

Together, they developed a concept, which aims to gradually upgrade the Allianz Arena with state-of-the-art, renewable climate solutions from Viessmann Climate Solutions and Carrier Global. The underlying energy concept reduces CO₂ emissions by up to 40 percent, for example, those produced by heating the stadium. To this end, three large heat pumps from Carrier were installed in 2022 to operate the soccer field heating system. Now, in 2025, 19 Viessmann Vitocal 350 HT-PRO heat pumps are responsible for the decentralized heat supply of the entire stadium and ensure, for example, that the interior of the Allianz Arena, such as the bistro, the fanshop and the Experience World, are kept at a comfortable temperature for the thousands of fans. s. In addition, the roofs of the visitor control areas have been equipped with around 1,050 photovoltaic modules to further increase energy self-sufficiency.

Premium climate solutions and maximum performance

All these measures show how seriously the club takes climate protection – and make a clear statement with regard to its climate partner. Viessmann Climate Solutions stands for premium climate solutions and top performance, even when it comes to the most complex big projects.
