Career
Charlotta loves exercise and sports from an early age, but she only takes up competitive sports at the relatively late age of 15. She competes in national and international cross-country skiing competitions and continues to improve. She flirted with biathlon for a long time and finally decides to make the switch in 2023, at the age of 20, following in the footsteps of her role model Denise Herrmann-Wick. In the IBU Junior Cup, she finishes in the top 10 and even manages to secure a few podium places. At the Junior World Championships in Östersund, she wins the gold medal in the mixed relay and, shortly afterwards, the silver medal in the women's relay.
Courage pays off
After being part of the Viessmann Junior Team in 2021/22, at that time as a cross-country skier, Lotta is now also being called up to the DSV junior squad as a biathlete and thus becomes part of the team. This season, Charlotta is competing on the international biathlon stage, taking part in the IBU Junior Cup and celebrating her first podium finishes there. She is also part of the team for the Junior World Championships in Östersund, Sweden, where she wins the silver medal with the relay team and even becomes junior world champion with the mixed team. Her good performances are rewarded, and towards the end of the season Charlotta gets the chance to compete in the IBU Cup and gain her first experience there.
