Role model

My sports role model has always been Johannes Rydzek. I never would have thought that one day I would be competing with him in the same team. Outside of sports, my mom is my biggest role model.

What's important to me

Spending time with my partner, my family, and my animals is fundamentally important to me. They give me unconditional love, strength, and confidence. I love being out in nature, I love the mountains, but also the sea. I prefer to surround myself with cheerful, optimistic, honest, and non-jealous people. It is also important to me that we treat each other with kindness and respect — no matter what country we come from, what language we speak, or what color our skin is. And I love to laugh a lot.

“After my time in the Viessmann Junior Team, I am very happy to continue being part of the Viessmann family and to have Viessmann as a strong and reliable partner on my side. I also appreciate professionalism and straightforward, honest interaction with one another. These are values that are also important to Viessmann!”

Nathalie Armbrust Nordic Combined

Career

After Nathalie had her very first experiences in alpine skiing, her father taught her cross-country skiing at an early age. Initially, she only trains in cross-country skiing at her home club SV-SZ Kniebis, but soon she also takes part in ski jumping training. During her teenage years, Nathalie celebrates many successes and collects titles and medals at junior world championships. The then 16-year-old makes her World Cup debut in Schonach in 2022. In the following season, Nathalie becomes an important part of the World Cup team. At the season opener in Lillehammer, she makes history by becoming the first German female nordic combined athlete to stand on the World Cup podium. And the success story continues: at the Nordic World Ski Championships in Planica, she becomes double vice world champion and then finishes the season with a sensational second place in the overall World Cup . Nathalie continues to celebrate historic successes in the following years: she becomes the first female winner of the Nordic Combined Triple in Seefeld, celebrates her first World Cup victory there, and finishes the 2024/25 season as the overall World Cup winner.

Nathalie makes history

At the age of 16, Nathalie becomes a member of the DSV junior squad for the 2022/23 season and thus joins the Viessmann Junior Team. She wins four medals at the Junior World Championships, including one in gold. At the same time, she is already celebrating historic successes in the World Cup: she is the first German female nordic combined athlete to achieve a podium finish there and confirms this achievement several times during the season. Nathalie also wins her first medals at the “big” World Championships: she secures the silver medal with the mixed team and in the individual competition. After a solid 2023/24 season, she really takes off in 2024/25. This season, she wins her first World Cup race, triumphs in the first women's Nordic Combined Triple, becomes vice world champion again with the mixed team, and finally crowns herself overall World Cup winner and thus the best Nordic combined athlete of the year.
